A guide, not advice. This explains how things generally work. A licensed insolvency practitioner will tell you what applies to your company or to you.
The Manchester Business Distress Report
This report will track the health of Greater Manchester's business base each quarter: the insolvency numbers, the sectors under most pressure, and the early indicators our licensed practitioners see before they reach the statistics.
What each edition will cover
- The headline numbers: company insolvencies in the region against the previous quarter and year, the split between voluntary and compulsory liquidations, and petition volumes at the regional courts.
- Sector watch: the sectors generating the most enquiries and filings, and the local reasons behind them.
- The early indicators: what directors are calling about, such as Time to Pay requests, bounce back loan concerns and payroll pressure, as a pointer to the next quarter's filings.
The first edition is in preparation.
What it means if you are seeing these pressures
Distress is visible early to those watching, and directors who watch their own warning signs honestly keep the full set of options that late-stage companies lose.
